Quick Start: How to set a time period and start count-down

  1. Run PresentationTimer by clicking on the icon in Start Menu > All programs

  2. Open the timing settings pane. (If PresentationTimer was already running, click the white arrow icon in taskbar to open settings dialog)

  3. This pane contains an listbox and control button on the right-hand side. The button with plus sign on the top adds a new time period.

  4. Pressing the 'add' button opens the 'item dialogbox' as shown below.

  5. In 'item dialogbox', we can set Name, Description, Group and Time length of the period.
Initially, all are blank and time lenght is set to 1 minute.
For this demo, we will just set the time length to 12 minutes and 20 seconds.
    Press OK to save

  6. After 'item dialogbox' is closed, the time period we set is added to the timing schedule as shown below.
Now, we are ready to start the count-down by pressing the Start button at the bottom of the dialog.

  7. Cue window, with color-feedback only mode, is the green transparent rectangle on the Powerpoint window.

  8. If mouse pointer is over the cue window, the remaining time is shown. Cue window can be moved by pressing and holding a mouse button while it is over the cue window and move it.
