Name ED comes from the initials of Encoding & Decoding. ED makes use of POSIX P1003.2b/D11 specification for encoding and decoding. ED can encode binary data into ANSI format and so, it is easier to transfer it in different schemes. Some programs such as Pegasus uses uuencoding to transfer email attachments. You can use ED to decode such email attachments. |

Main screen of the program is shown left. You can use Encode and Decode buttons to do necessary operation. When you press for an operation, File Open dialog box is opened. Then you select the file. Finally, ED asks for an output filename. |
